Commitment Ceremonies

Thankfully, true love and lifelong commitment occur without consideration of the law.  I believe that all relationships deserve to be legally recognised. However, the Government’s current position on Marriage is that it is a “union between a man and a woman – to the exclusion of all others – voluntarily enter into for life.”

Until such time as same sex marriages are legally recognised, I regard it as an honour to be invited by gay and lesbian couples – or heterosexual ones who wish not to legally marry – to convene a public forum in which they may declare their love and lifelong commitment to each other.
